As 2023 comes to a close, we’re so proud to reflect on the growth and achievements we have seen this year. None of it would have been possible without our fantastic team and wonderful clients, so we want to extend a big thank you to everyone who has been part of Vivup’s success.
Let’s take a look at some of our highlights from 2023!
This year has been one of growth for us here at Vivup. Between 2022 and 2023, the number of employees around the UK with access to Vivup increased by over 45%. We’re thrilled to be supporting even more employers and their employees live healthier, happier lives both in and out of the workplace.
Peer-to-peer recognition is so important for driving a workplace culture of appreciation and high morale.
With our recognition and reward app, Vivup highfive, both remote and office-based workforces can easily connect and share appreciation for important milestones, achievements, or a job well done.
In 2023, we saw public and private organisations across the UK using highfive to spread good vibes:
Our employee wellbeing and benefits solutions support millions of employees across the UK, and we are dedicated to providing them with a fantastic customer service experience.
We have received amazing feedback from employees using Vivup throughout 2023, and we’re delighted to finish the year with a 4.7 star “Excellent” rating on Trustpilot!
It’s certainly been a busy year for awards – both in recognition of Vivup and of our amazing clients!
Our CEO, Simon Moyle, was awarded the Scale Up Entrepreneur of the Year 2023 (Northeast) Award at the Great British Entrepreneur Awards.
Vivup secured the Best Supplier to Work for Award at the Employee Benefits Awards 2023, and our wonderful client Mid Yorks Teaching Hospital NHS Trust won Best Public Sector Benefits at the Employee Benefits Awards 2023.
We were also pleased to see some of our clients come highly commended at this prestigious event:
Our Commercial and Strategy Director, Chris Last, became the new Chair of the Cycle to Work Alliance in 2023. The exciting appointment reflects the hard work that Chris has done with Vivup and within the industry to promote Cycle to Work as an affordable travel alternative which encourages a greener and healthier lifestyle.
Within the role, Chris will focus on encouraging every organisation in the UK to offer Cycle to Work, while increasing participation in the scheme and removing any barriers preventing people from enjoying a more sustainable commute.

Karl Bennett, our Wellbeing Director, was appointed as the new Chair of the Employee Assistance Professionals Association (EAPA) in early 2023. Karl has made it his mission to encourage the sector to look at Employee Assistance Programmes (EAPs) as more than just a solution to support employees with in-the-moment care. Instead, he will encourage the exploration of preventative tools and solutions to keep people on their feet – and away from reaching crisis point.

Our new Family Care platform helps address issues posed by unexpected care needs on employees and the workplace.
With a database containing over 14,000 childcare providers, 4,000 tutors, 15,000 eldercare providers, and 3,000 pet care providers, employees can find trusted care solutions for the whole family across the UK. The platform also offers an advisory phoneline for any queries or concerns, access to a range of resources, and has functionality to allow employers to set a care budget for their employees to use.
We are thrilled to be able to help employers better support those who may be struggling with balancing work and care responsibilities.

In another exciting milestone, our Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) became the first in the UK to be accredited by the Employee Assistance Professionals Association. The certification harmonises and augments existing guidelines and legislative requirements, including the UK Council for Physiotherapy and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
Our EAP is also accredited by the Accreditation Programme for Psychological Therapies Services - making our service industry-leading.
We are proud to make a difference to our people, communities, and the environment. This year, we have:
The total emissions saved in 2023 (14,009,957 kg CO2e) is equivalent to:
What’s more, some members of the Vivup team carried out a fundraiser for NHS Charities Together by completing the 3 Peaks Challenge, which involves scaling the three highest mountains in the UK in 24 hours. The team did incredibly well, raising £5,755 in total.
Throughout 2023, we also continued our partnership with Re-Cycle: an important initiative that sends bikes from our Cycle to Work Scheme to Africa.
Finally, we created and released our first Carbon Reduction Plan!
We’re excited to head into 2024 with our plans for building on the success of the year. We’d love you to be involved in that success, too – so stay in touch by following us on LinkedIn and keeping an eye on our blogs!
