Here at Vivup, our people are the backbone of everything we do. That’s why we’re so proud to have won this year’s Investors in People Employer of the Year Award!
We wanted to take this opportunity to share the secrets to our success - which in essence involves creating a happy, healthy workplace. So, how do we do it? Well, our people are not just employees; they are one supportive family. Backed by bold leadership and a focus on continuous improvement, our mission is to truly improve the lives of staff both in and out of the workplace.
Read on as we share the steps we’ve taken to help our people and business thrive – because they could help yours thrive, too…
Our People and Culture team focus on providing employees with the necessary tools for career ownership. To achieve this, we launched a Careers and Rewards Progression Framework which enables our people to map their career journey and experience complete transparency in reaching their next professional goal.
We want Vivup to be a career destination where colleagues can achieve their life’s best work and have sustainable success that takes them exactly where they want to go. In a twelve month period, our Careers and Rewards Progression Framework has resulted in sixteen promotions, with thirty-eight colleagues receiving a salary increase to align with the newly introduced framework.
Having a strong People and Culture presence in your organisation can not only help to advance your employees and ensure they are aware of the opportunities available to them but can also create a sense of community and togetherness in our increasingly remote working world. We have regular team meetings, hold company days every quarter, surprise people with appreciation tokens and more!
A solid onboarding strategy is key to ensuring your people feel confident in their roles, aware of how to progress, and familiar with your company culture. In many ways, it is your first opportunity to engage your workers and, ultimately, keep them on board.
Here at Vivup, our People and Culture team have worked hard to develop an all-encompassing induction programme for an employee’s first three months in the business. We start with an informal meet and greet with our People and Culture team, followed by various training modules that will help our people better understand the organisation and remain compliant in their roles.
Towards the end of our induction programme, we provide an opportunity for new starters to consolidate their learnings so that we can be sure they have fully absorbed our training modules, mission, purpose, and values.
Adding our own little touch like a welcome gift and working from home adjustments also contributes to employee happiness.
We’re leading the way when it comes to Health and Wellbeing Employee Benefits, providing Salary Sacrifice, Lifestyle Savings, Employee Assistance Programmes, and Recognition and Reward solutions to hundreds of thousands of people across the UK.
Because we are what we sell, we make all of our exciting and desirable employee benefits available to our staff members in order to support their mental, physical, and financial wellbeing. We believe this is fundamental to creating employee happiness in a meaningful way. After all, happy employees mean more productivity, better engagement, and positive business progress.
Our vision is to truly improve the lives of our workers and our client's workers. Therefore, we have a responsibility to practice what we preach! And we make sure we do. From recruitment to engagement, every decision we make in our employees' journey is based on our five unchanging values:
We strongly suggest identifying your core values and embedding them into the very fabric of your company culture. One effective way to do this while boosting employee engagement and morale is to implement a Recognition and Reward solution based around these core values.
In fact, research shows that taking the time to celebrate your workforce can enhance employee performance by up to 14%, and continuous employee recognition from managers and peers is a proven contributor to higher levels of engagement, productivity, and retention while increasing profitability by a staggering 21%.
With Vivup highfive, our employee engagement Recognition and Reward platform, your staff can send and receive instant rewards* and acknowledgements for professional milestones, personal achievements, or a simple thank you for a job well done based on your organisation’s core values.
